Descripción
El tercer instituto para Latinas reunirá mujeres de los cinco condados de la ciudad de Nueva York para compartir mensajes de prevención acerca de infecciones de transmisión sexual comunes, incluyendo el VIH, como también para dialogar acerca de problemas y disparidades en cuanto al acceso a la salud. En particular, temas tratados durante el instituto incluirán: el VPH (Virus De Papiloma Humano), el VIH, la clamidia, la gonorrea, la hepatitis A, B y C, el cáncer de Mama y Cervical y también como navegar el sistema de salud.
Dinámica de la Sesión
El instituto será interactivo y mujeres que asistan participaran en grupos de trabajo donde expertos presentaran información acerca de los temas y participantes tendrán la oportunidad de analizar estudios de caso. Tomando en cuenta las necesidades de mujeres, el instituto ofrecerá cuidado de niños, desayuno y almuerzo gratuito. Participantes serán elegibles para entrar en un sorteo y todas las mujeres que participen se llevaran una bolsa con incentivos, información y una guía de recursos.
