Puerto Rican community based
organizations, patients living with HIV/AIDS and medical providers
need your support in urging HRSA to take immediate action
to address medical, social service and housing shortages caused
by local and Commonwealth government "inaction." Patient advocates
estimate there are 131 patients on the "waiting list" but
definitive data is hard to come by.
Agencias de base comunitaria,
pacientes viviendo con VIH/SIDA y proveedores de salud en
Puerto Rico necesitan tu apoyo para solicitar al HRSA a que
tome una acción inmediata para resolver los problemas
de restricción del servicio de salud, servicio social
y de vivienda; todo esto causado por la pasividad de autoridades
de gobierno locales. Defensores de los derechos de los pacientes
estiman que existen 131 de ellos que están en la lista
de espera y que su futuro es incierto.
