This issue's contents:

  • - Manos Unidas' Fourth Training Institute: New England. It gives us great pleasure to announce our Fourth HIV prevention Training Institute
    which will be held in New England for the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The Theme of the institute, based on our needs assessment, is: CODE New England: Community Organizations in Diverse Environments working to improve HIV prevention.

  • - Thinking of Implementing DEBI(s): Since the CDC started the Diffusion of the Effective Behavioral Interventions, some organizations have struggled with understanding and implementing them. The struggles have varied from understanding the overall objectives of the interventions, to
    understanding the core elements and key characteristics.

  • - Drinking, substance use, depression, and sexual behaviors
    in the Latino MSM Population.
    All survey respondents were males that ranged in age from 23 to 52 years. The average age was 38.67 (SD = 8.32).
    Respondents have lived in the United States from 2 to 52 years, with an average of 18.31 years in the US (SD = 15.47). Close to 22% of the respondents have lived in the US all their lives, while 78% have not lived all their lives in the US.
