A capacity building training institute for agencies implementing or interested in the Safety Counts intervention in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) of fiscal year 2010 funds for community-based organizations (CBOs) to develop and implement HIV Prevention Programs, was recently released and with it, the possibility to request funding to implement HIV Prevention Programs that include several Evidence-based Behavioral Interventions (EBIs), one of them being SAFETY COUNTS!
If your organization is currently implementing or considering choosing Safety Counts for this FOA, MANOS UNIDAS, Capacity Building Assistance program of the Latino Commission on AIDS, would like to extend you an invitation to participate at our upcoming Safety Counts Training Institute that will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, CT (13 miles south of Hartford) from September 14th through the 15th 2009.
