Coaching

Coaching is the process of equipping people with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to develop themselves and become effective. The role of the coach is to orchestrate the development process. The coaching model is based on the premise that the coach should develop a partnership; inspire commitment, grow skills, promote persistence and shape the environment. By coaching we mean: to train intensively (as by instruction and demonstration) and then remain as a support mechanism. We train staff one-on-one and then observe when they conduct the skill in question. We review materials and walk staff through the process of tools and protocol development.

Quality Assurance

The experienced staff of LCOA understands the specific needs of Latino communities, particularly those at high risk for sexual and drug related infection with HIV. Manos Unidas employs and integrates CDC-endorsed Best Practices including:
Cultural Competence.
Needs Driven Action Plan.
Comprehensive Consumer involvement.
Continuous Program Improvement.
