Taking the HIV Test

The Commission offers
FREE and CONFIDENTIAL HIV rapid testing! Hepatitis C test is also available. You can receive your test results plus a counseling session in a matter of minutes. The HIV test is conducted with a simple, finger prick to obtain a small blood sample (this prick is very similar to those performed to test sugar blood levels) and your results could be available as soon as in 60 seconds!

We offer two options for the HIV test:
- Determine HIV Combo testing
- Insti 60 second HIV testing.

If you have had a recent exposure, unprotected sex or if a condom broke in the past two weeks the Determine HIV Combo test can give you accurate results in 20 minutes for any risk that happened at least 17 days ago. On the other hand if you are worried about a risky situation that happened over a month ago or if you just want to update your HIV status ask for the Insti test and receive your results in 60 seconds.

These tests are reliable and done on site here at the Commission FREE of charge.

How Can HIV Testing Help You

If tests show that you don't have HIV, you can learn how to stay HIV-free. If tests show that you do have HIV, you can get medical care right away to help you stay healthy longer and get early treatment for illnesses that do occur.
