A program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), under the Targeted Capacity Expansion Program for Substance Abuse Treatment and HIV/AIDS Services (TCE/HIV), SAMHSA provides funding and support for the Para Ayudar at the Latino Commission on AIDS.

The Smoking Cessation Leadership Center (SCLC), University of California, San Francisco
A campaign jointly sponsored by SAMHSA and SCLC, Pioneers for Smoking Cessation. Para Ayudar has been selected to be part of this initiative.

Providers and Resources Offering Services to sex workers (PROS Network)
A coalition of sex workers, organizers, direct service providers, advocates, and media makers, of which the Latino Commission on AIDS is a member. PROS Network works with people of all genders who, by choice, circumstance, or coercion, engage in sexual activities for money, food, shelter, clothing, drugs, or other survival needs. Grounded in principles of social justice and human rights, the PROS Network embraces a non-judgmental, harm reduction approach to sex work. http://www.prosnetworknyc.org

Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC)
A nationwide, multidisciplinary resource for professionals in the addictions treatment and recovery services field. http://www.attcnetwork.org

New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)
A designated, single state agency responsible for the coordination of state-federal relations in the area of addiction services. OASAS plans, develops and regulates the state’s system of chemical dependence and gambling treatment agencies; monitors gambling and substance use and abuse trends in the state; provides a comprehensive education and prevention program based in schools and communities; provides education and training for persons dealing with clients; and administers the credentialing of alcoholism and substance abuse counselors as well as prevention practitioners and prevention specialists. http://www.oasas.state.ny.us

The Harm Reduction Coalition (HRC)
A national advocacy and capacity-building organization that promotes the health and dignity of individuals and communities impacted by drug use. Coordinators
Our experienced counselor coordinators will meet with you privately to hear about your current situation in order to develop a plan to assist you in overcoming internal barriers and work through these in order to improve your well-being.
Peer Educators
Our comadres and compadres promote well-being within their social networks and community settings, and also identify hard-to-reach Latino MSM, transgender Latinas and Latino MSTGW in order to refer them to the individual-level intervention services.
counseling at PARAR Case Managers
Our social work case managers will further assess any service needs to provide appropriate referrals, offer accompaniment, and communicate with providers to follow-up and determine if needs have been met.
HIV Rapid Test Counselors
We offer free and confidential HIV Rapid Testing. Now you can receive your test results in just a few minutes.
